The Intrepid Diana Johnstone
Unrelenting truths beg for our attention
To blog is to do a lot of reading, on the internet and in books. In preparing an upcoming blog I came across another article by one of my favorite sources, Diana Johnstone. She is an American journalist living in Paris. She writes with wicked clarity and insight. She does not mince her words and is unafraid to speak truth to power. She knows the power of words and makes sure they are well rooted.
The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Cuban Missile Crisis and the assassination of John F. Kennedy, were pivotal events in creating the tyranny that now stalks our existence.
The tyranny persists because too many political leaders and journalists are willing to feed it with endless lies and hypocrisy. As you will see in the following article, she nails Barack Obama as one of them.
Recently in Parliament, our not so intrepid prime minister slandered a United Nations initiative by 120 countries to ban nuclear weapons as being “sort of useless.” Canada is not part of the initiative. It comes at a time when the prospect of nuclear war looms larger than ever. Our lack of participation is no doubt because he is completely servile to Washington’s wishes and like other NATO leaders abandoning his population to America’s insane militarism.
