NATO leaders doing pratfalls for the Empire
Two-faced NATO leaders and their dangerous duplicity
A leader of a vassal state does not have an easy time of it. They have to lead a double life and hope nobody catches on. On the one hand they have to cater to the needs of the Empire and on the other they have to pretend they are the leader of a sovereign state. The left hand has to pretend it doesn’t know what the right hand is doing and visa versa. Leadership ends up being a mass of contradictions and pratfalls.
A pratfall is when you slip on a banana and make a clumsy fall. For the likes of Justin Trudeau he takes his when he tries to glorify Canada’s immigration policy. He says he is “jealous” of immigrants who chose Canada. Why would he be jealous when most immigrants arriving here are destitute war refugees driven from their homelands by NATO’s wars? They didn’t arrive on our shores by choice. They are simply trying to stay alive.
Our prime minister is in the same boat as other NATO vassal state leaders as they too must lead the duplicitous life of pretending to be sovereign states while being vassal states taking orders from Washington, catering to its wars, taking in the refugees from these wars and forking over endless amounts tribute monies in various forms and guises.
At his June 27th “media availability”(a quaint term for what is usually known as a press conference) he made the remarkable statement..” You chose this country. This country is your country more than it is for others because we take it for granted.”
Taking one’s country for granted is a very dangerous game. Especially so when you are the current leader; but then his record shows this is his political style. A country can never exist as a static state; but must be in a proactive state of assertion.
To “take for granted ” means: to take someone or something for granted. to expect someone or something to be always available to serve in some way without thanks or recognition; to value someone or something too lightly. In this case, “something to be always available to serve “refers to Canada. But the reverse is true. Canada will not be there for us if we do not serve it. Nation states are not self-sustaining and it is the purpose of government to sustain the country and pro-actively advance its interests and continued existence.
In a world dominated by a belligerent self-serving empire nation states are being debilitated and erased by economic and military means. It is a time when nation states, if they want to continue to exist must be well served by their governments, which means dynamic leadership is paramount.
As his government reaches its mid-term with little accomplished, a long list of broken campaign promises, much unfinished business, generous accommodations to our Neo-liberal corporate welfare state, and our active role in endless warfare Canada is not being well served, and served it must be.
When this government backed away from promised electoral reform it used the lame excuse that there was no consensus! Government’s are elected to be responsible, lead on issues, set in place processes that lead to consensus, and then legislate.
Government is not for the faint of heart and those who shirk their responsibilities.
As long as the leaders of NATO’s vassal states whore their countries to America’s criminal warfare they get to do pratfalls for the empire. This warfare has now been ongoing for sixteen years (by no coincidence, since 9/11) and could go on for another sixteen years, and easily escalate into larger more dangerous wars.
NATO leaders assume the role of vassal states oblivious to the ultimate consequences of abandoning their countries and populations to this ongoing tyranny; a tyranny that could ultimately suck their countries dry.
The bully empire will not be appeased. To cater to its wars merely makes it more arrogant and contemptuous of its timid vassals. It is time for NATO leaders to show some moral fortitude and start backing away from these wars. They owe it to their populations, the potential waves of immigrants spawned by continuing these wars, and the world community.
To take this tyranny for granted, and as immutable is not an option.
