Kennedy’s intrepid spirit mocks America
He tried to prevent what his country has become.
The assassination of John F. Kennedy was a pivotal event in creating the dysfunctional America we know today. When the conspirators killed him they were destroying their country’s future. We are witnesses to that future.
Kennedy came to power at a critical point in world history. The greatest war ever fought was over. It was the dawn of the nuclear age and there was a war torn world to be rebuilt. The ground work for the modern world was being shaped.
Prior to assuming office Kennedy had informal discussions with outgoing president Dwight D. Eisenhower. This was just after Eisenhower had delivered his now famous farewell address. In that address he warned his fellow Americans the country was under threat from a flourishing military industrial complex (MIC). In other words, there were elements of the US government that had fallen in love with war and had every intention of keeping the country on a permanent war footing. For the military it meant they would have a raison d’etre and for the industrialists (corporate America) they could continue to harvest the massive profits that come with a permanent war economy. The US emerged as the dominate unscathed victor from WWll and there was a world left to conquer.
In order to keep the country on a permanent war footing a new enemy had to be concocted and the Soviet Union was designated. Though the USSR was an essential ally in winning the war and taking 27 million casualties(more than any other country) it was now the enemy. Cold War l came into being.
With the gratuitous bombing of Hiroshima and Nagaski in 1945 so too did the nuclear age come into being. The US was the first to have the bomb through the Manhattan Project, but the Soviets had the bomb two years later. The nuclear arms race was on. Even in its early stages there were American generals who pushed for a preemptive nuclear strike against the USSR; just as Russia is threatened today by a huge NATO buildup on its borders and we are living Cold War ll.
With the Cold War and the arms race under way Kennedy went to “war” against the Deep State . In his time it was emergent. Today it is totally dominant. It is composed of the military, security agencies, corporations and other unelected officials who rule from the shadows.
With the Cuban missile crisis of 1962 Kennedy was so mistrusting of his military he established direct radio contact with a US Navy ship captain for an honest assessment of what was happening.
In his determined push for peace he established back-channel communications with his Soviet counter part Nikita Khrushchev. The two opposing leaders established a rapport. Both were committed to avoiding an escalation of the Cold War.
Kennedy was assassinated over half a century ago. Since that time there has been a massive documentation of what happened on that fateful day. What the conspirators didn’t count on was an army of journalists, authors, researchers and truth-seekers ferreting out the truth and assembling the jigsaw puzzle of conspiracy. The truth is available for all to see.
When a nation crosses the Rubicon to pursue empire the values by which it exists are subverted. The pursuit of raw power, greed and self-aggrandizement sow the seeds of its eventual destruction. For the empire to exist, it lives by its lies and corruptions. With time these accumulate to where only truths of convenience and propaganda dominate.
The release of the Kennedy files at this time and the subsequent pathetic official and media denials are a mockery. All these years later his files have been released but only “some.” History has passed its damning judgement but there is no contrition, no candor, and no healing until the truth be told.
The pulverizing price we pay for living in a unipolar world is that we live the lies of the empire, as they accumulate and fester. 9/11, the continued existence of NATO and Russia-gate, and so many others not confronted.
Too many leaders today are empty suits compared to Kennedy. In his later days he knew full well his numerous political enemies had marked him for death, but he was undeterred. He had a clear vision of what was at stake for his country and the world. Had he prevailed the world today would be a better place. His death chronicled the fading of the American Dream and consolidated the power of the Deep State and its cancerous sprawl.
The truth will only be legitimized after the empire has fallen and the history is ancient, like that of all previous empires.A silence no longer affordable. Help spread the word.
